The article i found on the data base was good and the author definitely knew what he was talking about when he wrote about Burton, that being said he didn't even mention any other company. he treated Jake Burton like a god and praises him for making such a difference in the snowboarding community, but what does he compare it to? nothing honestly this is just a wet dream rant about Burton and while yes it an amazing company and surely has changed a whole lot in the sport of snowboarding but it hasn't been told that it is also the most expensive. you pay for the history and the reputation of the name when the truth of the matter is we are not in the dark ages and we all have advanced technology and in fact Burton is not the leading maker of boards anymore, they have simple designs but lib tech and Jones are making more progressive styles at a better price. At first i bought a Burton board too and i have to say i love it. But i bought a new Jones board for half the price last year and rode it all season while the Burton collected dust. This is a reputable source though it has all facts and no simple spelling or grammar errors that i could see. I will have to use a lot more and look a lot harder for credible snowboarding info especially a peer reviewed source most great snowboarders are usually too busy riding to be typing or reviewing.
