Online internet sources part duce! - Mike Carey
The article i found on the data base was good and the author definitely knew what he was talking about when he wrote about Burton, that being said he didn't even mention any other company. he treated Jake Burton like a god and praises him for making such a difference in the snowboarding community, but what does he compare it to? nothing honestly this is just a wet dream rant about Burton and while yes it an amazing company and surely has changed a whole lot in the sport of snowboarding but it hasn't been told that it is also the most expensive. you pay for the history and the reputation of the name when the truth of the matter is we are not in the dark ages and we all have advanced technology and in fact Burton is not the leading maker of boards anymore, they have simple designs but lib tech and Jones are making more progressive styles at a better price. At first i bought a Burton board too and i have to say i love it. But i bought a new Jones board for half the price last year and rode it all season while the Burton collected dust. This is a reputable source though it has all facts and no simple spelling or grammar errors that i could see. I will have to use a lot more and look a lot harder for credible snowboarding info especially a peer reviewed source most great snowboarders are usually too busy riding to be typing or reviewing.

Blog Review:
A blog is an internet phenomena where anyone can express and show to the world their thoughts and opinions. Yet a blog, like any other form of reading, has it's artistic credibility, intelligence, logic and significance. Furthermore a blog can only be considered good if it has the right and correctly constructed pieces. The blog "Attack of the English Teacher" provides all of these components and is therefore a good blog.
When a blog post is about a personal reading response there needs to be clarity of the reader's experience. This blog clearly shows in "argument beyond pro and con" how the reader thought and learned throughout their experience. The clear experience of the reader in response to an article is exemplified when the writer states, "Throughout the piece I found myself connecting previous knowledge to the new information I learned, making this piece quite successful in teaching about argumentation essays." ("Attack of the English Teacher") The reflective aspect of this piece expresses the considerate and good quality of this blog.

this blog is solid and interesting, the only potential flaw is that there is a drastic difference in writing style between the different posts.
Unconventional English: rating 10:
Unconventional English blog - 8
this blog has a great and interesting layout. This blog also shows an in depth and concise response to the topics it discusses. Also the images accurately represent the topic as well.
Frcc writers blog - 7
Frcc writers: rating: 7.2(lol)
Frcc's blog is pimpin, they really went all out. This blog uses interesting diction and phrasing. Furthermore, this blog is da bomb diggity and is noticeably clear. I like this blog for the content which is all that really matters but it’s hard to keep me focused, it’s a little dry and rambly at times and not as fun as other blogs to look at or navigate. The pictures were very funny and clever though those always caught my eye even if I didn’t end up reading the whole post I got a little taste of what they meant or at least made me chuckle a bit.

Drunk writer talk 121 – 9
Very user friendly, Love the pictures and all the fun fonts
it pulls my attention in and keeps me focused on one thing at a time which is
normally hard to do. It is all very grammatically correct and cited as well all
the pictures were given proper credit or cited right. Best blog so far in my opinion.
Very fun!
The image I chose to describe is a young man having a hell
of a good time writing drawing or possibly that pencil is a new age stylist and
is BLOGGING! It shows lots of passion and ambition which is a lot of what I found
in this blog. It was very opinionated and the writers know what they are
talking about not just filling it with facts or nice sounding fluff. This picture
also shows he cares about what he’s doing and I’m sure he’s taking time to make
sure he draws inside the lines and makes no spelling errors just like the bloggers;
I didn’t notice any errors at least. And finally this picture grabs my
attention and makes me laugh a bit, the blog is much the same way it always has
a funny caption or little picture I can relate with and it makes me wonder what
they could possibly write about to relate to such a funny picture. All in all I
think the picture and the blog are very funny, to the point, and most importantly
catch the readers eye.

Evaluating an Internet Resource:
Evaluating an Internet Resource:
http://yogashalaboulder.com/
Impressions:
I think the website is straightforward. The website is for a yoga studio in boulder. I haven't read through all of it, but what I have found always relates to yoga in one sense or another. The site elaborates on teachers' credibility of past work and gives a brief history of the teachers' beginning and studies in Iyengar Yoga. It also gives each teacher's phone number and email address.
Quotable Passage:
I thought this was an interesting bit of information that tells me that those who work at this studio care to know how to intelligently practice and teach yoga. Also the quote makes me wonder what the "two levels of intense testing and evaluation," are.
"All teachers at Yoga Shala are certified in the Iyengar method. Iyengar Yoga has a rigorous and demanding certification process. Candidates for certification must have taught for a minimum of three years, and must pass two levels of intense testing and evaluation. For each examination, candidates are evaluated by a panel of three Senior Teachers, and it is common for candidates to have to test more than once to pass a level. Teachers are evaluated on more than 45 different criteria, including the clarity of their instruction, their ability to teach poses safely and effectively to a wide range of students, and their skill in observing and correcting students..."
Shorter Quote from the website: "As BKS Iyengar describes it, “Yoga is a powerful tool for liberating ourselves from unwanted, ingrained patterns. Through it, we identify, acknowledge, and progressively change them.” (Light on Life, p. 134)"(Going Deeper in Yoga Practice, Yogashala.com)

History of Snowboarding / Snurfing
This is a very old website but still very credible I went to
a few other sites and they all had the same facts and some even left out a few
small tid bits. Snowboarding started as
just a fun thing to do to get the surfing feeling on snow. Many people had the
same idea around the same time and they all came together to have the first
ever snurfing contest, originally it wasn’t snowboarding it was snurfing. You guessed
it snow surfing! So info is great but it
could use a face lift like I said it is a little dated but still very user
friendly and easy to navigate. I would
and will use it in my research paper because the info is solid and very simple
to comprehend. For instance one of the
first boards made was called "Flying Yellow Bannana" simple and to the
point it looked like a banana and was pretty fast on snow for that time. This is
a good sight but I will definilty use more up to date sites for the majority of
my research paper.

1.
Andy Warhol was an amazing artist that changed
art with his outlook and his style
2.
It shows how he came to be a great artist and so
different
3.
It also shows his financial background he was
always working hard and doing little projects for people until he could support
himself and do what he wanted. Then he made even more money and was smart about
it.
Andy Warhol was a
great artist and a great business man. His art has been sold at record braking numbers
even more then Picasso. He wasn’t always a crazy wealthy artist he had to start
small and for other people at first. He worked for advertising companies and
even worked on magazines as well. He finally got a big break and started with
cammbles soup cans, the famous cans are known by most people but not as famous
as the Marline Monroe paintings.
He wasn’t always a super star he was a child first and not a
very wealthy one at that and was sickly most his time. He sat around listening
to the radio most times and always drawing his favorite stars of the time. He went to college in Pittsburg and his professors
and peers noticed his unusual style of art. He was always painting a different
perspective on the same thing experimenting with colors “He took advantage of
silk screening, a photomechanical process that allowed him to present
appropriated photographs or images in a painterly fashion.” He was well liked by most and above all one
of the most inspiring and financially successful artists of all time.

Video Assignment on Apostrophe #2:
1.) An apostrophe can be used to indicate possession.
An example would be: Bob's hat was made out of jelly beans. Since Bob is a singular noun, we add an apostrophe and s ('s) to show that it is his hat.
When there is a plural noun you add an apostrophe at the end, following the s.
An example would be: The soldiers' rifles were no match for Bob's lightning pants.
If, however, the plural noun is an irregular plural noun such as children, nuclei, teeth etc., then add an apostrophe and s ('s)
Examples would include:
two children's hats
the teeth's roots
* When expressing possession for a noun that ends in s, such as Charles, you may either use an apostrophe + s, or you may simply add an apostrophe at the end of Charles.
A couple of examples are:
Charles' potato became alive.
Charles's leg hair caught on fire.
What is important is to be consistent in what you decide to use, because either is acceptable.
additionally, if the noun is a possessive plural name, then you may also add an apostrophe and s at the end,
Such as:
The Johnsons's funds were too low to send their cat to mars.
2.) An apostrophe can be used to make a contraction. A contraction is when you omit some letters from the word.
For example:
I (cannot, can't) feel my legs!
I (do not, don't) like to eat live critters.
I (would not, wouldn't) even want to try it.
3.) IT'S
can be used to show possession, or it can be used as a contraction.
As a contraction it's can look like:
It's (it is) that time of day to use the bathroom.
It's (it has) been a pleasant bathroom experience so far.
In the possessive form it's can look like:
The velociraptor is known for it's cute, playful nature,
but it's ability to sing in key is terrible.

Logical fallacy post DUCE.
We chose to cover the topic of playing to general sentiments. It's very easy to jump on the band wagon and join in when everyone is feeling the same way, such as every president is a god fearing, patriotic american rather than just some one who feels a strong sense of duty to help their country, both electives want to help the country of course and both are patriotic, but that is not enough you must love god and family values as well as make them obvious to others. It's also the kind of under dog effect, people like the little guy winning against a big force, it's a little small taste of what we all want in life, which is exactly what playing to general sentiments is about. Sometimes I use it, in fact I almost use it in all of my papers because it is such a great way to get the reader on your side, when people get emotional or connected to something that makes them feel good, even if they crack a slight smile you've won them over, and since most of the people reading our work are teachers it's nice to have them happy when they're grading your stuff. It can be bad though if you do use it too much because people tend to call bullshit or ignore you because you don't accept anything other than what you believe and you might sound a ignorant or uneducated.
